Beerten, Rissveds, Schurter and Ropelato take wins at North American season opener

She took the top of the stage already at Crankworx Rotorua, in the Giant Toa Enduro, and Anneke Beerten did it again at the 2017 Sea Otter Classic. Beerten took the enduro win aboard her SRAM X01 Eagle™ drivetrain, SRAM Guide Ultimate brakes, RockShox Pike, Monarch Plus and Reverb Stealth with 1x remote equipped GT.

Anneke also took a 2nd in the Pump Track and a 3rd in the Dual Slalom

Olympic Champion and Scott – SRAM MTB Racing Team rider Jenny Rissveds won the always hotly contested Cross Country Short Track race. Rissveds’ Scott was equipped with a SRAM XX1 Eagle™ drivetrain, SRAM Level Ultimate brakes and a RockShox SID World Cup fork

Adding to the Scott – SRAM Team Sea Otter victories, Olympic and World Cup champion Nino Schurter took the Pro Men’s XC. Like his teammate Jenny Rissveds, Schurter rode a SRAM XX1 Eagle™ drivetrain, SRAM Level Ultimate brakes and a RockShox SID World Cup fork.

Without a doubt, the Pro Dual Slalom final is the highlight of the Sea Otter Classic’s competition schedule. As such, it has become the unofficial Dual Slalom World Championship. Mitch Ropelato is your new World Champion. No one — not even the guys he beat in the process — are bummed about that.

To get the win, Mitch rode SRAM X01 DH, SRAM Guide Ultimate brakes, RockShox Pike, Monarch Plus and a TRUVATIV TLD CoLab Bar with TRUVATIV Descendant stem and seatpost.
